Recipes from Maria Emília Cunha

Mi is a great cook (that is her husband's opinion at least!), who enthusiastically prepares everything from a formal banquet to a casual barbecue. Here she is preparing sardinhas assadas (grilled Portuguese sardines) on a portable gas stove in Nova Scotia on a cold winter day.

Bacalhau a Bras

Red cabbage salad

Chau Chau de Pepino

Fried Rice

Sarapatel, a Goan recipe

Leite Creme, a custard-like desert

These go very well with Portuguese wine.
