Personal Information

Maria Emília Cunha and Bill Silvert were married on 5 July 1997. This picture was taken at their engagement party.

She is also an excellent cook and a fine hostess.

Before moving to Portugal in 1974, she lived in Angola. Before then she lived in São Tomé and before then in East Timor (Timor Leste). She returned to East Timor in 2005, a very emotional visit where she met people who remembered her father, who had been a colonial administrator.

They now live in the Algarve, in a former dance hall called O Baile do Peral.
