Anne Silverzweig's Website

This site is dedicated to my aunt, Anne Silverzweig, who died on 6 March 2002. It contains photographs and a few documents that were in her apartment that I want to share with her family and friends.

As this site develops, meaning that as I have time to scan in more photos and collect more information about family connections, I will add the material to this web. Once it is reasonably complete, I will copy the site to a CD-ROM which can be distributed to anyone who wishes a remembrance of Anne.

Most pictures, except for a few very small (wallet-sized) ones, can be enlarged by clicking on them. If they open in a separate window you can close them by closing the window, otherwise you can use the back arrow to return to the original page.

I have prepared a family tree to show some of the linkages in the family, but it is incomplete and I will need help from other family members to identify Anne's cousins and other relatives. It will take time just to finish the tree with the information I already have, so this will be a slow process.

Many of the photos were taken in Europe, mostly in Poland, and I have no idea who the people in them are. If you recognize any of the people shown, please let me know.

As for the other photos, those are from Anne's apartment, and while in some cases I have better photos (especially of me and my children), I have not included them on this site. I have however included links to other family sites that may be of interest (such as my own).

Please write me with any comments, questions, or especially information that will help enhance this site. Although it is common to say that a site is under construction, usually meaning that it is continuously being polished, in this case there is lots of work to be done and it will take a long time. There are hundreds of photos to be scanned, and I need information from relatives and friends in completing the descriptions. Few of the photos are annotated, and some that are have writing in Yiddish or Hebrew, which I can read only with the greatest difficulty. I hope that someone will help me with these tasks!

Please address all correspondence about this site to Anne's nephew and webmaster, Bill Silvert. This page was last updated on Thursday May 08, 2003.
